Hi Michael,
It's uplifting to see you and all involved, working to speed establishment of peace on earth : )
Will you please elaborate on these two items on the petition?:
12. Shift from Representative to Direct Participatory Democracy empowering the People of the World to have a voice in the issues that affect us all;
13. Reforming educational systems based on the new ways of thinking and acting.
Please define "of the World", as it's used in resolution 12's "People of the World".
Just about all of the 13th resolution needs to be made more specific in the petition, for me to know if my signature belongs on it.
One more thing: that word "freezing" (expenditures of certain kinds, at benchmark levels), taken seriously, could make it harder or even impossible to transfer funds from humankind's planet-despoiling and peoples-harming types of activities over to eco-preservation and humans' infrastructure development programs.
What do you and David see recommending that word for those parts of the petition, instead of the word 'reducing' or terms like 'significantly reducing' or 'capping and significantly reducing'?
I would need to know this too, to feel informed enough to decide about adding my signature to the petition.
Reciprocating warmest wishes,
RhonnaLeigh

Please can you promote and sign our new AVAAZ petition to the National Leaders represented by the G20, who are gathering in Brisbane, Australia on November 15 & 16 for their Annual Summit. We ask them to truly represent the voice or the will of the majority of their people and the World’s people. We intend to present this petition to the G20 in Brisbane on November 15. We have two weeks to collect as many signatures as we can. http://www.avaaz.org/en/petition/The_G20_Save_the_Planet/?niXaiab
Our National “leaders”, represented by the G20, no longer represent the voice or the will of the majority of their people and the World’s people. They only see short-term gains and the global economic system runs on the assumption of infinite resources. One billion out of 7 billion people live below poverty levels. With the threat of climate change and the likely breach of planetary resource limits, human civilization faces an energy emergency of global proportions. The growing threats to the human future of Nuclear War and Global Climate Change now severely threaten our future and all life on Earth. There is a saying that - Your lack of active participation in politics does not exempt you from the responsibility for the results. http://www.avaaz.org/en/petition/The_G20_Save_the_Planet/?niXaiab

Elisabet Sahtouris, in "The Biology of Globalization” states "The Globalization of humanity is a natural, biological, evolutionary process. Yet we face an enormous crisis because the most central and important aspect of globalization - its economy - is currently being organized in a manner that so gravely violates the fundamental principles by which healthy living systems are organized that it threatens the demise of our whole civilization."
